This course is intended for beginners with no prior knowledge. The course focuses on conducting simple conversation (listening and speaking) and basic reading skills. In this course, you will be introduced to the Chinese phonetic writing system Pinyin. We will also teach you how to type Chinese characters on your computer and in your apps. By the end of this course, you will have an active vocabulary of approximately 100 words.

We use book <HSK standard course 1>, supplemented with extra words added for the HSK 1 level.

The lessons are taught in a classroom setting (online via Zoom) in 2 lessons per week of 1.5 hours.
